Are you a dedicated researcher who is a leader in your industry? Apply today for the APRA Foundation Margaret Fuhry Grant. Download the 2013 Margaret Fuhry grant application.
Established in 1998, the Margaret Fuhry Grant is given to a researcher based on his or her leadership, mentorship, volunteerism and dedication to the profession. Margaret Fuhry passed away suddenly on October 9, 1996, at which time she had been continuing a successful career in the industry as the Director of Development Research at Webster University (St. Louis, MO). Throughout her tenure with APRA, Margaret served as Professional Development Director for the association, as well as Conference Vice Chair, and was the Second Vice President/Conference Chair of the 1993 APRA International Conference in St. Louis.
Margaret Fuhry was well-known as an advocate for the profession and mentor to hundreds of her colleagues, and the APRA Foundation's Margaret Fuhry Grant was established and named in her memory. The grant is a U.S. $500 stipend to be used for professional development at the discretion of the recipient. The recipient of the grant is not required to use the stipend for the APRA International Conference.
Deadline extended! Submit your application for consideration by Thursday, January 31. A committee of APRA membership will select one Margaret Fuhry Grant recipient and the grant will be presented at the 26th Annual International Conference, August 7-10, 2013 in Baltimore, Maryland.
