APRA’s first-ever leaders symposium was an unqualified success. Industry experts from around the country gathered for this intimate event with dynamic speakers and incredible conversations. Attendees appreciated the timely topics that impact their day-to-day work lives and also saw this as an investment in their long-term career goals.
A huge amount of buzz was created by the interactive sessions led by Tahsin Alam, Director of Talent Management, Rutgers University on “Acquiring and Retaining Your Top Talent” and Steve MacLaughlin, Vice President of Data & Analytics, Blackbaud on the “Secrets of Data Driven Nonprofits”.
Friday kicked off with an incredible panel featuring Jennifer MacCormack, Immediate Past President, APRA; Jason Lee, Interim President & CEO, Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP); Steven Churchill, President & CEO, Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP);Sue Cunningham, President, CASE and moderated by Stacy Palmer, Editor, The Chronical of Philanthropy. With the topic “Leading Fundraising into the Future”, these industry leaders started a conversation that APRA will continue to build on in the coming year.
