On Tuesday, August 15, Apra members came together for another engaging Apra Twitter Chat. Marissa Todd, J.D., M.B.A., Director of Prospect Management and Research at the University of Central Missouri, and Erin Osborn, Prospect Development Director at Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation, gathered around their smartphones to share more insight on Proposals - What's Data Got To Do With It?
Marissa and Erin elaborated on how and why proposals can be a great way for your organization to track fundraiser productivity and forecast future fundraising, by discussing how proposals are entered, tracked and utilized for fundraising success.
In this engaging discussion, 14,987 impressions were made via the 100 tweets and 15 contributors that participated, reaching nearly 6,000 twitter accounts*. A few highlights from the lively conversation include:
- A good way to track an anticipated ask date without getting too granular is to use the quarter end dates. Once the data is requested, you can update with the more exact information when possible.
- Streamlining required fields can be extremely helpful with data collection. Cut down on the number of “asks” by considering system conversion.
A BIG thank you to Marissa and Erin for their time on this Twitter Chat! Follow @Apra_HQ and track the hashtag #ApraChats to join in on upcoming conversations.
