On Monday, November 20, Apra members virtually came together for another engaging Apra Twitter Chat. Katie Ingrao, Associate Director of Prospect Management at Rush University Medical Center & Sarah Bernstein, Principal at Philanthrodata - Fundraising intelligence and information management, logged into their Twitter accounts, gathered their notes and shared valuable insight on I Need a Little Help from My Friends.
Katie and Sarah discussed the challenges many chapters face with volunteer recruitment and leadership succession planning.
In this engaging discussion, 66,725 impressions were made via the 100+ tweets and 14 contributors that participated, reaching more than 9,000 twitter accounts*. A few highlights from the lively conversation include:
- Just like fundraising, when it comes to volunteers, someone has to make the ask.
- Volunteers are more passionate and involved if position/committee assignments play to their strengths and interests.
Special thanks to Katie and Sarah for their time on this Twitter Chat! Follow @Apra_HQ and track the hashtag #ApraChats to join in on upcoming conversations.
