Apra is excited to share our 2021 Salary Survey. This survey is aimed at capturing information on the demographics, work setting, workload, and compensation and benefits of those working in prospect development and related fields.
The resulting report will serve as an industry benchmark and a tool to help you advocate for your own compensation, benefits, resources and more within your workplace. Additionally, Apra members will have complimentary access to this report.
The survey should take around 15 minutes to complete. We encourage you to share this survey with your colleagues and invite them to participate, as well.

Honoring Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the forefront of our work as an organization. As part of our Salary Survey campaign, you’ll notice two important changes:
- This year’s Salary Survey features new demographics questions regarding race, ethnicity, gender identity and disability status. These questions ensure we can identify and assess any racial, gender or other wage gaps within our profession to support pay transparency and equity. The survey is anonymous and adheres to our Privacy Policy. Additionally, these demographic questions are voluntary.
- We are proud to partner with AFP and a number of other peer associations in the launch of a large-scale survey intended to help leaders, staff and volunteers in nonprofit organizations understand the perspectives and experiences of fundraising professionals with respect to inclusion, diversity, equity and access. This broad-reaching survey is the first of its kind in our industry and will help us to collaboratively effect change throughout the nonprofit sector. We encourage you to also complete this AFP survey here.
