As the global situation relating to COVID-19 has continued to evolve over the past several weeks, we have been in close communication with our event partner CASE as we planned for our OverDRIVE/ event.
Based on the latest guidance from the World Health Organization, CASE has made the decision to cancel its in-person DRIVE/ event and offer a limited virtual conference.
The health and well-being of our members, attendees, faculty and staff are our top priority. In light of the DRIVE/ event cancellation, and after much review, dialogue with key stakeholders and considerable evaluation of the evolving public health situation, we have also decided to cancel our OverDRIVE/ event, March 23 in New Orleans.
After much discussion with the OverDRIVE/ planning team and Apra leadership, we have also determined not to move forward with a virtual event on March 23. We feel strongly that we do not want to sacrifice the workshop format, networking and interactivity that make OverDRIVE/ so valuable to our attendees.
Instead, Apra will be working the OverDRIVE/ educational content into an extended version of the Data Science Now event planned for our Prospect Development annual conference, August 4-7, 2020, in Washington, D.C. We are working hard to define what this new event will look like, and will share an update with you as soon as possible.
We are also offering you a credit for your OverDRIVE/ registration, which you can apply to any 2020 Apra event, including:
Please contact us directly to let us know which program you would like to apply your credit to, and we will coordinate the credit for you.
We thank you for your understanding and patience during this difficult time. We are grateful for our amazing prospect development community. Stay safe, stay well and stay strong.
