Dear Colleagues,
Like you, we have been watching the news around the escalating global impact of COVID-19, and we wanted to reach out to update our community. First, and most importantly, we hope the entire Apra community is staying safe and healthy during this difficult time.
We are also closely monitoring the situation as it relates to Prospect Development 2020. At this time, we are moving forward with Prospect Development as planned. The conference, held in August, is months away, and we remain hopeful that we will be able to hold a safe gathering by then.
We recognize, though, that this is a rapidly changing situation. We are following the guidance and recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, and government officials in making decisions. We are in full coordination with our event partners in Washington, D.C.
The health and safety of Apra members, our event attendees, sponsors and event staff are our top priority. We are committed to keeping you informed and will share any updates and new information as soon as it is available. We've created a dedicated webpage on our Prospect Development site that we will be updating as new information is available. We encourage you to check this page for any updates.
I want to thank all of you for everything you are doing to help your colleagues and organizations manage this escalating situation. I am incredibly honored to be part of the prospect development community. I know we will get through this together, and we will be stronger because of it. In the meantime, I remind you that we are all here for one another, and I urge you to lean on your prospect development colleagues as we navigate this together.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or Apra Executive Director Robin Rone.
Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay well.
Sincerely,
Bond Lammey
Apra President
